The annual Windhoek Industrial and Agricultural Show is held on the Windhoek Show Grounds, which is ideally situated in the Capital Windhoek. The locality is easily accessible and boasts of large open parking areas, approx. 7,000m2 of indoor exhibition space and approx. 35,000m2 of outdoor exhibition area. The agricultural section comprises a large grassed arena, cattle pens to accommodate 750 cattle and small stock pens for 1,200 animals.
This year’s Windhoek Industrial and Agricultural Show (WIAS2019) showcases under its “INDUSTRIAL” banner predominantly outputs from the Manufacturing-, Production-, Processing-, and Value-adding sectors - both locally and regionally. Auxiliary services and inputs (financing, insurance, energy, transport, trade facilitation, legislative framework, management tools, marketing, etc.) that constitute a vital ingredient to these sectors will also be on display.
Under its “AGRICULTURAL” banner the focus will be on showcasing Namibia’s best Large- and Small Stock livestock breeds. In the various categories individual animals contest for the Champion of Champions crown. All judging of animals is be done in accordance to the respective registered Namibian Breed Standards.
